The Day Spa at Nantahala Village

The Spa at Nantahala Village is decorated in the tones of nature--browns, greens, golds, and amber. Two of the treatment rooms and the reception room have working fireplaces. A large wraparound porch looks out over the woods, and there is a small English garden in the back. In addition to the spa, the buildling also houses an art gallery that exhibits the work of local artists. Guests arriving for treatments are directed to a rocking chair on the porch and served complimentary wine or tea accompanied by crackers and local cheese. The signature facial begins with aromatherapy with a warm neck pillow, which is followed by a cleansing. A clay mask is then applied, and while it sets, you receive a hand and foot massage. Next comes a facial honey mask, during which your neck is massaged with warm Nantahala river stones. This is followed by the application of a facial toner and then a firming serum and moisturizer.
