Special Care Day Spa is a complementary and alternative wellness center founded in 1988 by Marilyn Dawson, RN to address the need for a new approach to wellness and beauty. The spa's mission is to give spa-goers an exceptional day spa experience to help renew the self and regain life focus. Special Care was awarded business of the year by the National Association of Negro Women and Professional Women's Club, Washington, DC, and has received Montgomery County Small Business Mentorship Awards. The spa has been featured in Essence, Heart and Soul, and Pathfinders magazines. Special Care boasts a quiet, relaxing, and nurturing experience.
