Opened in June 2006, Zermatt Resort and Spa takes its name from the famed mountain village in Switzerland, one of the world's most desirable skiing destinations. Just 15 minutes from Park City, Utah, the resort recreates the Swiss alpine skiing experience, right down to the iconic architecture and interiors brimming with hand-carved and hand-painted artworks. The majestic Wasatch Mountains surround the property and are visible from the four-story Swiss-style chalet where guest rooms are housed. Completing the European experience is the 17,000-square-foot Spa at Zermatt, whose menu of treatments integrates specialty beauty products imported from Europe and an exclusive line of Swiss-inspired spa ingredients. Individual spa treatments and signature spa packages ideally supplement a day of seasonal outdoor activities in the picturesque mountains of Utah. Of course, hitting the slopes of Park City (or one of six other premier skiing destinations within driving distance of the resort) is a popular activity in winter. When the snow melts, thousands of miles of hiking trails snake across the verdant mountains nearby, and gently sloping paths amble through the picturesque Heber Valley. Guests can also enjoy an indoor workout at the fully equipped and staffed Wellness Center.
