Sea Island

Sea Island is a luxury resort situated on a private island accessible from the mainland by car or plane. Both the architecture and interior design of the new building are reminiscent of the 1928 Mediterranean style masterpiece originally designed by celebrated architect Addison Mizner. The second prong of the property's $350 million renovation is a new 65,000-square-foot (6,038 square meters) spa and fitness facility, now adjacent to The Cloister. Guests can choose between the relaxed and spacious comfort of Cottages on Sea Island, the grandeur of The Cloister, or the boutique hotel experience found at The Lodge, located on neighboring St. Simons Island. The island's impressive range of recreation options includes a tennis club, equestrian center, shooting school, yacht club, five miles of private beach, and 54 holes of championship golf. Conscious of its traditions, this family-owned resort preserves time-honored customs such as formal-dress Bingo on Tuesday and Thursday nights as well as seasonal celebrations held in high style.
