Terrible Effects Of Using Dermaplaning Treatment

Dermaplaning: NOT worth it

Cost: $350
Pain: Painfree
Dermaplaning satisfaction: Poor

I do not recommend my Dermaplaning provider: Name not provided
Location: New York, NY
Few months ago, I was very upset with scary acne scars on my face. I heard a lot about Dermaplaning and decided to undergo the process. I was told that my facial hair would be removed and I would have a plain, shiny and perfectly toned skin. I was so excited to look beautiful and young again; however, I had no clue that it would end up be as one of my worst experiences. Dermaplaning is not as expensive as other skin treatments but the results I got were terrible. The procedure took hardly 10 to 20 minutes. However, after a day of this treatment, my skin had a lot burning sensation. I had face irritation and it took several days for the redness to go away. It has been 3 months since I had the treatment and my skin is now back to the same condition as it was before the treatment. It was my biggest mistake to go for Dermaplaning; it gave nothing other than continuous pain, more oily skin and uneven spots all on my face.

Dermaplaning is not for acne or acne prone skin. This was a mistake on the part of your service provider. Using a blade to remove the hair is harmful because with oily skin the hair acts like a "wick" to lift the oil out of the follicle, once the hair's been removed it can cause inflammation and acne. Salicylic acid peels or Crystal-free Microdermabrasion would be ideal for you, but make sure you go to someone experienced.
