My friend and I purchased the living social for the spa and were extremely disappointed. Booking was a nightmare and when the spa finally had openings, they booked us for the wrong order. Apparently groupon had something similar but without manicure and pedicure, therefore, when we arrived after taking a half day from work, the spa couldn’t accommodate our full service as what was stated on the living social. (When I booked over the phone I specifically told the man that I had a living social and what to expect and he even gave me the hourly portion). The massage was more like a “rub” and I was still in pain. The massage therapist, even though very sweet, talked the entire hour of the massage and for me and friend. We had to come back for the manicure and pedicure because the spa messed up with our order. After taking another half day from work, the “upgrade” pedicure was not worth it. The therapist couldn’t get the polish on correctly and was having a difficult time. Then I wanted to upgrade the manicure with a fill and the therapist “flipped out” because it wasn’t on the form. I told her when we started and she said it was okay, however after the pedicure, she was very nasty and as a customer, I just wanted to leave. After it was all said and done and I paid for an upgrade fill, my nails look horrible and the technician was very rude. I couldn’t even go out for my event that evening because of how she painted my nails. I had to go to another spa to fix her screw up. I would never visit the spa again because of the service, or there lack of.

Cons: bait and switch
I purchased two of the Living Social deals that the salon offered for my mother and I, and we were both extremely disappointed. The services we received were not the services offered that I paid for. The 50-minute aromatherapy massage was more like 45-minutes and was not what was advertised in the deal, nor what is advertised on the salons website. During my massage and during my mother's massage, the masseuse "wanted to let you know" about other deals and programs that we could buy while there which I find very unprofessional. I was there to relax, not to hear a sales pitch. The Living Social deal also consisted of a "customized masque" which in fact had absolutely no customization whatsoever. I was not asked any questions regarding my skin type, problem areas, nor did the person offer any of the treatments or products the salons website has in the description for the anti-aging facial. The manicure/pedicure was the absolute worse I have ever received; not to mention the pedicure chair was broken, could not be adjusted at all and extremely uncomfortable. The only thing that was offered that I did receive was a cheap, nasty glass of wine. The services offered should have taken no longer than 2 to 2 1/2 hours; however, we were there for almost 5 hours. The strange thing about this is there were no other customers there for the same services. I did call to address these issues and spoke to a man who said he was the salons owner and received horrible customer service. This man was very nonchalant about the issues and offered no solutions at all. His overall demeanor was that I did receive a massage and he did not care that it was not what his company offered or what I paid for. Some of you reading this may share his mindset, but I believe companies really should give exactly what they advertise. I do not appreciate the bait and switch circumstances nor do I appreciate the way that my mother and I have been treated by this company. Needless to say, this company is not recommended. Unless you are desperate for a massage, contact Living Social to ask for a refund before you go.
