Dr. James Evans â€" Our medical director, is a lifelong resident of northern Kentucky, having graduated from the University of Kentucky undergraduate and medical colleges. After receiving his residency training in emergency medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, he returned to Northern Kentucky in 1982 when he founded Emergency Care Physicians of Northern Kentucky which staffs the emergency departments of St. Elizabeth Florence and Ft. Thomas. Board-certified since 1982, he has served as medical director of NKEMS and the Greater Cincinnati Airport paramedic services, and currently serves as medical director for the City of Ft. Thomas paramedic service. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Healthcare Underwriters Group of Kentucky, a physician-owned and operated medical malpractice company.
